Consultant Pediatrician – Acute Care

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Pediatrician specialized in Acute Care to join our multidisciplinary team in Abu Dhabi. You will provide expert assessment, treatment and leadership for infants, children and adolescents presenting with urgent and complex medical conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct consultant‑level assessment and management of acutely ill pediatric patients.
• Diagnose, treat and stabilize a broad spectrum of acute pediatric illnesses and emergencies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and review investigations, imaging and laboratory results.
• Lead and mentor pediatric medical teams, coordinating care with emergency, ICU, surgery and allied health services.
• Perform appropriate pediatric procedures within your scope of practice.
• Communicate clearly with families regarding diagnoses, treatment options and follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audits, quality improvement and teaching activities.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
• Consultant‑level experience in Pediatric Acute Care.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility and professional registration in good standing.
• Strong clinical decision‑making and leadership abilities.
