Consultant Pediatrician

About the role

The Consultant Pediatrician will deliver comprehensive medical care to infants, children and adolescents in a multicultural Dubai healthcare setting. You will diagnose, treat and prevent a wide range of paediatric conditions while adhering to Dubai Health Authority regulations and international standards of care.

Key responsibilities

• Record medical histories and examine patients from birth to twenty years of age.
• Order, interpret and act on diagnostic tests to determine medical conditions.
• Discuss test results and treatment options with patients and families.
• Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, vaccinations and specialised care, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed.
• Educate patients, parents and the community on diet, hygiene, activity and disease‑prevention methods.
• Design and implement community health programmes for children and adolescents.
• Coordinate and supervise therapists, nurses, assistants and students, referring to specialists when required.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records, including history, examinations, medications, vaccinations, diagnoses and treatment plans.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine degree with a specialisation in Pediatrics.
• Current state medical licence valid for practice in the UAE.
• Minimum three years (36 months) of paediatric experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
