Consultant Pediatrician – UAE Child Health & Development

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its pediatric outpatient, inpatient, preventive and developmental services. The organization seeks a highly skilled Consultant Pediatrician to join a multidisciplinary clinical team and deliver high‑quality care to a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children and adolescents in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Diagnose and manage common paediatric illnesses, growth concerns, infections, asthma, allergies and developmental issues.
• Support immunisation programmes, preventive health initiatives, nutrition counselling and family education.
• Coordinate care with neonatology, paediatric subspecialists, emergency medicine and allied health teams.
• Identify and escalate acutely unwell children, ensuring safe admission or referral pathways.
• Maintain child‑safe documentation, obtain consent, uphold safeguarding standards and comply with UAE regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Consultant Pediatrician with a recognised specialist qualification.
• Board certification or equivalent from one of the following: American Board of Pediatrics, UK CCT/MRCPCH/FRCPCH, European Board/national paediatric specialist registration, Royal College (Canada), Australian FRACP, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS or equivalent.
• Eligibility to practice in the UAE and willingness to work in Sharjah.
