Consultant Pulmonologist – Respiratory & Lung Medicine

About the role

A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonary Care services. The Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist will deliver comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases within a modern hospital environment supported by advanced diagnostics and critical care facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of respiratory diseases including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease and complex pulmonary infections.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry and conduct bronchoscopy procedures.
• Manage sleep‑related breathing disorders and coordinate sleep study evaluations.
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute respiratory failure and collaborate with critical care, thoracic surgery and internal medicine teams.
• Develop personalised treatment plans, educate patients on smoking cessation and pulmonary rehabilitation, and ensure compliance with international guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years post‑specialist or board certification in Pulmonary Medicine.
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing in the UAE.
• Recognised specialist qualifications such as US Board, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Arab Board, or equivalent.

Required skills

• Pulmonary function testing and interpretation.
• Bronchoscopy and related pulmonary procedures.
• Sleep study evaluation and management of obstructive sleep apnea.
• Interpretation of respiratory imaging and diagnostics.
