Consultant - Pulmonology

About the role

The Consultant Pulmonology will deliver high‑quality clinical services to patients in the Pulmonology department, OPD, wards and ICUs, ensuring ethical and professional care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, treatment planning and follow‑up for patients with respiratory diseases and lung conditions.
• Offer on‑call emergency coverage after working hours for pulmonary emergencies.
• Participate in in‑service training, physician conferences and quality‑assurance activities such as morbidity‑mortality meetings, audits and chart reviews.
• Supervise and educate nursing staff, technicians and patients.
• Maintain compliance with clinical governance, risk management and quality standards.

Required profile

• Qualified and licensed medical practitioner with a basic medical degree and recognized fellowship or diploma.
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience at consultant level, including at least 1 year in a Tier 1 country as defined by UAE regulators.
• Active registration in a pulmonology specialty recognised by UAE health authorities.

Required skills

• Valid life‑support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Strong clinical risk monitoring and management abilities.
