Contract Specialist

About the role

The Contract Specialist will report to the Legal Director for the Middle East and Africa region and be based in Dubai. The role oversees the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, supports the quantity surveying team and advises business leaders on commercial risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of contracts from sales through execution to closure.
• Develop and implement contract management procedures in line with company policy and the JCI Legal Department.
• Create, maintain and update standard contract agreements for customers and vendors/subcontractors.
• Manage a team of Contract Specialists/Administrators to conduct contractual risk reviews.
• Provide guidance to business units, finance, legal and procurement on contractual obligations and risk mitigation.
• Support field operations and quantity surveyors on payment applications, change orders and contract claims.
• Draft and review standard and non‑standard contracts, including outcome‑based models such as performance contracting and digital solutions.
• Prepare cover letters with appropriate terms and conditions for bid proposals and supply insurance documentation to customers.
• Act as the primary point of contact between sales, operations, finance, legal and procurement to ensure compliance with delegation of authority and liability requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract lifecycle management, preferably in a regional or multi‑country environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial risk management and legal contract principles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of contract administrators.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
