Contracts Manager – EPC Projects

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor with more than half a century of experience, is looking for a full-time Contracts Manager to join its team on one of its projects in the UAE. The role covers monitoring and supervising project contracts, handling contractual correspondence and advising the Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise and ensure compliance with construction and related project contracts, and advise the Project Manager accordingly.
• Prepare and handle all contractual correspondence and legal documents related to project execution and the construction contract.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations to the Client and report to the Project Manager.
• Identify contractual and legal matters at project level and refer them to the Project Manager, and to the Contracts Manager if needed.
• Refer deviations from standard forms of documents, agreements or contracts to the Project Manager.
• Prepare contracts and legal documents with third parties using standard templates.
• Review supplier and subcontractor proposals and prepare routine responses to proposals, bids and contract modifications from a contractual viewpoint.
• Analyze and manage business conflicts with the Client or third parties and submit proposals to the Project Manager.
• With the Project Manager and the Legal & Contracts Department, collect and forward critical input on litigation, arbitration or extrajudicial settlements to the regional level and coordinate their handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quantity surveying or construction law.
• At least 15 years of experience overall, including at least 10 years as a Contract Manager on large-scale, complex projects.
• Experience in oil and gas projects.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.

• Full spectrum of contracts management: document review, contractual correspondence, claims, dispute resolution.
