Contracts Manager (Onsite) – Oil & Gas EPCM

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead contract administration for EPCM oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures commercial protection, compliance, and effective contract execution across client, subcontractor, and vendor agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement contract execution strategies aligned with EPCM project requirements.
• Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and award processes for all contracts.
• Interpret contract terms and provide guidance to project managers and discipline leads.
• Act as primary point of contact for contractual matters with the client, handling notices, claims, and formal communications.
• Oversee preparation and administration of subcontract agreements, ensuring proper flow‑down of main contract terms.
• Support procurement teams in tendering and commercial evaluations.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage variation orders, claims, and back‑charges; lead preparation and defense of contractual claims.
• Maintain detailed contractual records, registers, and documentation control systems.
• Identify contractual risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with company, client, and local regulations.
• Prepare regular contract status reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 20 years of experience in contracts/commercial roles within oil & gas EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong experience on Middle‑East onshore brownfield projects.
