QA/QC Manager – CCGT Power Plant

About the role

The QA/QC Manager will oversee quality assurance and control for a greenfield 2,400 MW CCGT power plant in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi. This position spans the full project lifecycle, from design and engineering through construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop QA/QC procedures aligned with the PPA, EPC contract, and ISO standards.
• Review and approve quality documents, MSRAs, ITPs, and inspection checklists submitted by the EPC contractor.
• Lead a team of QA/QC engineers to monitor and inspect civil, mechanical, and electrical works against approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify and communicate quality issues to the construction team, providing technical advice.
• Support the Project Manager/Director with schedule control and other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in power plant projects, with at least 5 years on CCGT plants.
• Prior experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and IEEE.
