Copywriter / Editor (English Speaker)

About the role

A well-known events organization in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Copywriter/Editor fluent in English. The role supports the development and execution of high-quality written content across formats, aligned with strategic objectives, tone and brand guidelines. It suits confident, highly organized people comfortable working in a founder-facing capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Draft speeches, forewords and high-level communications in English on behalf of senior leadership.
• Create content for journals, magazines, newsletters, books and other publications.
• Develop content for events, programs and festivals for websites, brochures and marketing materials.
• Research thoroughly using credible internal and external sources.
• Edit and proofread all materials for tone, accuracy, grammar and brand style.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager to finalize content for print and digital production.
• Liaise with designers and production vendors, and work with PR and advertising agencies, publishers and developers when needed.
• Write personalized communications such as congratulatory or thank-you letters for VIPs and dignitaries.
• Review social media content and write and edit website content, applying SEO best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English or a related field.
• At least 5 years' proven copywriting experience, ideally in the arts and culture sector or similar creative industries.
• Experience producing content for both print and digital formats.
• Native-level English writing and editing proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; competence working independently and in founder-facing roles.

Required skills

• Strong command of creative and technical writing styles.
• Excellent proofreading, grammar and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with SEO, web writing best practices and social media tone.
• Knowledge of graphic design and publication production is a plus.
