Corporate Documentation Manager – Credit & Risk

About the role

The Corporate Documentation Manager is responsible for safeguarding the bank’s interests by ensuring that all credit facilities and security documents are legally binding, accurate and compliant with internal policies and UAE regulations. The role leads the documentation function, oversees risk controls, and supports process re‑engineering and digitisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the final checker for all documentation activities, ensuring completeness and enforceability.
• Manage departmental resources to deliver tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Review and improve existing documentation processes, driving automation where possible.
• Verify that all terms and conditions of credit approvals are incorporated into facility agreements.
• Ensure securities, insurance policies and necessary waivers are obtained before releasing credit limits.
• Conduct physical verification of documents, maintain custody of facility and security paperwork, and sign off as authorized signatory.
• Oversee annual physical documentation reviews and trigger legal review when accounts are downgraded.
• Monitor pledge, lien and mortgage of customer assets, ensuring periodic valuation and proper control.
• Provide guidance and training to team members and act as liaison with the Legal Department on documentation issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date RCSA, audit ratings and implement recommendations from Credit Review and Audit teams.

Required profile

• UAE national with extensive experience in corporate credit documentation and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of UAE banking laws, regulatory guidelines and internal credit policies.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage projects and drive process improvements.
• Excellent analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills, with capability to review complex legal documents.
