Cost Control Project Manager

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a Cost Control Project Manager in Dubai. The role leads cost control systems across projects, forecasts and reports cost performance, manages a team of Cost Control Engineers and Specialists, and helps resolve complex project control problems.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and oversee the design and customisation of cost control systems to meet project requirements.
• Lead forecasting and reporting of cost performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyse project performance and update databases.
• Prepare periodic executive summaries of cumulative cost baseline behaviour and trends for various projects.
• Provide guidance and specialised assistance on difficult and complex project control problems.
• Manage a team of Cost Control Engineers and Specialists, mentoring them and transferring technical expertise.
• Ensure cost management procedures and reporting requirements are followed, and prepare project reports at various levels.
• Document employee performance issues, help resolve them and provide personnel development.
• Take part in developing and implementing project control strategies and delegate tasks to team members.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Civil Engineering from a reputable college.
• 12+ years of experience in project management, project control, estimation, budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage multiple, changing priorities.

Required skills

• Budgeting and forecasting, change management systems, Work Breakdown Structures and Earned Value systems.
• Revenue recognition, under-billing and over-billing analysis, and contingency allocation.
• Knowledge of construction accounting principles and project cost planning, scheduling and execution.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of continuous process improvement tools.
