Cost Controller

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Cost Controller to join our team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. You will be responsible for monitoring all cost‑related activities, ensuring accurate financial administration, and supporting operational efficiency across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and monitor cost control activities, tracking and documenting financial transactions.
• Receive, verify and process supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and prepare accounts payable vouchers.
• Control the flow of goods, maintain detailed records of receipts and issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and prepare comprehensive physical inventory reports.
• Establish daily and monthly food & beverage costs, prepare profit‑and‑loss statements and analyse variances.
• Cost recipes for new menu items and prepare provisional P&L for special events.
• Generate sales statistics, identify cost‑saving opportunities and discuss findings with senior management.
• Prepare month‑end closing reports, execute adjustments and maintain internal control systems.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and cost accounting methodologies.
• Strong expertise in inventory management and control systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in accounts payable processing and invoice verification.
• Competent in preparing and analysing profit‑and‑loss statements.
