Cost Controller

About the role

Hotaru Holdings is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Controller to join its Accounts & Finance team in Dubai. The role monitors operational costs, keeps inventory records accurate and supports profitability improvement across kitchen and bar operations, focusing on cost management, waste minimisation and financial accuracy in the hospitality and food and beverage sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct weekly stock counts across kitchen and bar operations.
• Prepare and maintain recipe costing records to support accurate food and beverage pricing.
• Monitor supplier prices and identify ways to reduce operational costs.
• Track inventory consumption, wastage and stock variances.
• Maintain cost control records and support financial reporting.
• Analyse food costs and profit margins to find areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, procurement and finance teams to improve inventory control and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field is estimated; the original advert does not state a mandatory qualification.
• Experience in cost control, inventory management or hospitality finance is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical and data-handling skills.
• Understanding of inventory control, recipe costing, supplier price analysis, food cost management, waste tracking and profit margin optimisation.
• Excellent organisation, accuracy, attention to detail and effective communication.
