Cost Manager – Construction & Quantity Surveying

About the role

Join Drees & Sommer in Dubai as a Cost Manager, supporting large‑scale real estate and urban development projects. You will combine cost planning, cost management and quantity surveying across all project phases, working closely with project managers and technical experts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare investment cost estimates, cost plans and detailed calculations using benchmarks, trade cost indicators and unit rates.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and analyses, both BIM‑based and manual, to support reliable cost forecasting.
• Review and challenge cost calculations, estimates and commercial submissions from contractors and consultants.
• Maintain project cost tracking, budgets, commitments, change orders and progress.
• Develop model‑based cost forecasts, cash‑flow projections and portfolio outlooks.
• Lead value‑engineering and cost‑optimisation initiatives in collaboration with the project team.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Initial to several years of experience in cost calculation, cost management or project controls within construction or real estate.
• Strong understanding of construction cost planning, controlling and forecasting, with knowledge of local UAE market practices.
• UAE driving licence and willingness to travel within the UAE and internationally.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with BIM‑based measurement tools.
• Experience with cost management or project controls software.
