Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst will support the Private Banking division by preparing credit proposals, conducting financial analysis, and assigning risk ratings. The role ensures timely monitoring of approved facilities, documentation compliance, and maintenance of credit files.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and prepare credit applications, renewals, extensions and credit memos, highlighting exceptions and providing recommendations.
• Initiate renewal processes two months before expiry, review securities, cash flows and compliance terms, and ensure full approval before expiry.
• Monitor insurance policies, request renewals at least one month prior to expiry, and track post‑disbursement compliance.
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers and Middle Office to obtain pending security compliance and complete documentation.
• Arrange offer letters, legal and Sharia approvals, and ensure proper filing of credit files.
• Track account repayments, identify early warning signals, and follow up on past‑due items.
• Prepare Credit Committee Reports (CCRs) as needed and act as backup for other analysts.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good understanding of banking credit processes and regulatory requirements.
