Credit Control - Receivables Specialist

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Credit Control-Receivables specialist for a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company in Dubai. The role manages and optimizes accounts receivable by assessing credit risk, setting credit limits, monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, thereby supporting cash flow and minimizing bad debts.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using credit reports, financial statements and payment history, and set credit limits and terms
• Monitor receivables balances, aging reports and payment trends, and communicate with customers about overdue invoices and payment arrangements
• Negotiate settlements with delinquent customers and escalate collection efforts when needed
• Verify invoice details, pricing and terms, coordinate with sales, finance and operations on billing disputes, and issue statements, reminders and dunning letters
• Apply payments accurately, reconcile them with outstanding invoices, investigate unapplied payments and perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis
• Prepare receivables aging reports, collections metrics and credit risk assessments, track KPIs such as DSO and bad debt ratios, and help forecast cash flow and provision for bad debts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field; a credit management or finance certification is an advantage
• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable management or financial analysis, preferably in FMCG or a related sector
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, credit policies and collections procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical mindset and attention to detail
