Credit Controller – LSSC

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join DSV’s Dubai team. The role ensures timely collection of invoices, monitors credit granted to customers, and supports the company’s liquidity.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales.
• Handle disputed invoices and negotiate payment within agreed terms.
• Respond to client and internal enquiries about invoicing errors, payments and statements of account.
• Liaise closely with sales, customer service and operations to resolve credit issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all payment follow‑up activities and regularly contact customers.
• Assess customers’ credit situations, set terms and conditions, and evaluate credit limits weekly.
• Submit new credit applications to Head of Finance with supporting documents and issue credit confirmation letters.
• Review legal documents such as trade licences and tax certificates and ensure renewal.
• Monitor outstanding balances to reduce DSO, reconcile accounts monthly and prepare ageing reports.
• Prepare bad‑debt provisions and credit‑insurance overviews for monthly financial reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable or debt collection.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to evaluate credit limits and make decisions on credit extensions.
• Attention to detail in maintaining records and preparing financial reports.
• Knowledge of DSV credit and collection policies and dunning procedures.
