Credit Relationship Manager – Mid Market Corporate & Investment Banking

About the role

The Credit Relationship Manager will support the analysis, structuring and risk assessment of credit facilities for mid‑market corporate and investment banking clients in the UAE. Working closely with Relationship Managers and internal risk teams, the role ensures timely, high‑quality credit proposals that meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis, credit risk assessment and risk rating for assigned corporate relationships.
• Prepare and review Credit Proposals (new, renewal, amendment) in collaboration with Relationship Managers.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk Management and Compliance to resolve risk and compliance queries.
• Review deal structures, credit products and services to provide business solutions within credit and operational risk guidelines.
• Monitor exposures, RAROC and profitability; ensure adherence to Lending Guidelines and Credit Policy.
• Track Early Alert instances and report to supervisor promptly.
• Act as interim Relationship Manager during absences, providing guidance to the team.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of regulatory, legal and banking frameworks in the UAE.
• Knowledge of Mashreq Bank policies, risk, operational and AML guidelines.
• Analytical thinking with awareness of macro‑economic trends affecting the industry.
• Ability to monitor portfolio quality, size, mix and risk/return guidelines.
• Good judgment in daily decisions, with escalation to senior staff when needed.
