Crew Leader – Aviation Refuelling Operations

About the role

The Crew Leader supports shift supervisors in aviation refuelling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance while covering for absences. When a Shift Supervisor returns, the Crew Leader resumes duties as a Refueling Operator under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate high integrity, leadership and operational excellence as a role model.
• Ensure all aircraft are refuelled safely, on time and in line with Air BP regulations, DIA Charter and airport ramp safety rules.
• Perform normal refuelling and depot tasks, especially during peak periods and when covering sick or holiday leave.
• Identify and implement improvements to performance, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness without compromising HSE standards.
• Lead emergency response teams according to the emergency manual and coordinate with external authorities.
• Act as an authorized signatory for work permits, guaranteeing a safe environment for third‑party activities.
• Communicate technical bulletins, safety flashes and operational circulars clearly to all staff.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and stakeholders through excellent service and communication.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Proven leadership ability and willingness to cover supervisory roles when needed.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying safety and operational information.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak operational periods.
