CSSD Technician

About the role

The Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Technician ensures that all reusable medical devices are safely decontaminated, inspected, and ready for patient care. Working within Bareen International Hospital, you will operate critical sterilisation equipment and maintain strict documentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, dis‑assemble, clean, and inspect contaminated equipment according to established protocols.
• Operate washer‑disinfector machines, dryers, sterilizers and other decontamination equipment.
• Perform daily validation and quality‑check tests on all decontamination machinery.
• Document activities, test results and any non‑conformances accurately.
• Issue sterile supplies, maintain stock levels, and restock as needed.
• Conduct functionality tests on reusable devices and record compliance.
• Receive and verify deliveries, checking delivery notes against received goods.
• Communicate with clinical staff, senior personnel and colleagues at all levels.
• Carry out assigned clerical tasks and adhere to all safety policies.

• Strong attention to detail for equipment inspection and documentation.
• Effective communication skills with staff across all hospital departments.
• Commitment to reporting incidents and participating in mandatory training.
