Cyber Defense Lead

About the role

Chalhoub Group, a luxury retailer with over 950 stores and online platforms, is looking for a Cyber Defense Lead in Dubai. You will lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of the Group's enterprise cyber defense capabilities, covering threat detection, incident response and operational resilience across its entities, brands and technology environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical leadership across Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Cloud Security Operations and AI-enabled security automation.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and specialist service providers, setting technical standards, operational priorities and performance measures.
• Lead major cyber incident investigations, forensic analysis, containment and recovery, and develop incident response playbooks and run simulations.
• Oversee enterprise detection capabilities and optimise SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR and security monitoring solutions aligned with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Drive threat hunting, intelligence-led detection and the adoption of AI-enabled security solutions, automated triage and SOAR workflows.
• Manage cyber defense performance, KPIs and service quality, and work with internal stakeholders and external security providers.

Required profile

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with strong technical leadership in cyber defense, security operations, incident response and detection engineering.
• Proven experience leading and scaling cyber defense in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience leading technical teams, managing security vendors and MSSPs, and influencing senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Incident response, digital forensics, threat intelligence, threat hunting and detection engineering.
• SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, MITRE ATT&CK, security automation and cloud security (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCFE, GCFA, GCFR, OSCP or equivalent.
