Data & AI Engineer

About the role

Atom Technology is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to join its Dubai team. You will work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion to presentation, and help deliver secure, high‑impact AI solutions for the company’s customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines that load data into data lakes and data marts.
• Develop web‑scraping solutions and optimise data workloads for performance and cost.
• Apply data‑modelling standards (dimensional, star/snowflake, canonical) to support analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers and analytics teams to productionise ML/AI and LLM‑based solutions.
• Expose well‑documented datasets for self‑service reporting and dashboarding.
• Enforce data‑governance, quality, security (IAM, encryption, row/column‑level security) and monitoring practices.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing and CI‑CD processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience as a data engineer on cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, GCP or AWS).
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proven ability to build ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as AWS Glue, dbt, Informatica or Talend.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA / SAP HANA Cloud data modelling is a strong plus.
