Data & AI Transformation Architect

About the role

Damen Shipyards Group is building a data‑powered enterprise and seeks a Data & AI Transformation Architect to lead this journey. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will shape the future data and AI landscape, turning fragmented capabilities into a unified, high‑maturity operating model for a global maritime leader.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current Data & AI capabilities and identify maturity gaps.
• Define and execute practical transformation roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders.
• Drive adoption of modern data management, analytics, governance and AI practices.
• Promote a data‑driven culture across all business functions.
• Develop and mature enterprise‑wide data architecture principles, standards and guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data and AI transformation in asset‑intensive industries such as manufacturing, shipbuilding, construction, marine, offshore, engineering, energy or utilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work with senior executives, data owners and technical teams.
• Balance strategic vision with hands‑on delivery to generate measurable business value.
