Data Analyst – Databricks AI/BI & FinOps

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for an experienced, hands-on Data Analyst to build, optimise and enhance its modern data and analytics environment. The role combines Databricks data engineering, Azure FinOps and cost optimisation, data analysis and visualisation. You will work with large and complex datasets, develop scalable data pipelines, give actionable insights and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders so that data is accessible, reliable and cost-efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures in Databricks and Azure.
• Ingest, transform and analyse structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Develop datasets and analytical solutions supporting business intelligence, reporting, analytics and data science.
• Analyse Azure and Databricks consumption and costs, identifying FinOps optimisation opportunities.
• Build dashboards and visualisations that turn complex data into clear business insights.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on their data needs.
• Automate manual data processes and improve data delivery, quality and platform performance.
• Support data governance, including data quality, cataloging, lineage and compliance.
• Monitor pipeline and platform performance for availability, reliability and scalability.
• Communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4+ years of data engineering, data analytics or data platform experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on Databricks BI and visualisation, especially Databricks Genie (candidates without direct Genie experience may be considered).
• Practical Azure FinOps and cloud cost optimisation experience.
• Strong Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks experience.
• ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing, modelling and data quality.
• Python and SQL.
