Data Analyst Intern

About the role

Bayut and dubizzle, part of Dubizzle Group, are recruiting a Data Analyst intern in Dubai. The intern acts as an evangelist for data and its methodologies, working closely with teams in marketing, sales, finance and product in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Access data, build and manipulate large datasets to support planned analyses using SQL, Python and similar tools.
• Design and develop BI dashboards with Sisense or similar tools (Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio) for metrics such as finance, sales, inventory and others.
• Help define KPIs, drive data governance through standardisation and communication, and develop analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
• Research and validate entity data using internal and external sources, and liaise across projects in the Reference Data environment.
• Analyse, specify, test and implement interfaces, workflows and reference data solutions, including regression testing before system upgrades.
• Participate in designing, implementing and interpreting experiments and trials to refine strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical packages such as Excel, SPSS or SAS.
