Data Annotator

About the role

PACT Employment is hiring a Data Annotator in Dubai on a contractor basis. The role involves annotating and labelling time-series, images, videos and text data so that machine learning models can be trained.

Key responsibilities

• Annotate and label data (time-series, images, videos, text) using tools such as CVAT, Label Studio or in-house platforms, following project guidelines.
• Track progress across multiple projects, spot issues and suggest improvements to speed up the annotation process.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of annotated data by following established guidelines and standards.
• Help prepare annotated datasets for model training by organising and cleaning labelled data.
• Take part in training programmes and annotation workshops.
• Work with subject-matter experts, data scientists, ML engineers and project managers.
• Maintain records of annotation processes and give feedback on labelling guidelines, QC processes and tool configurations.

Required profile

• High-school diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent), or equivalent professional experience.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of data types and annotation types (bounding boxes, polygons, segmentation, keypoints).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with annotation platforms such as Label Studio, CVAT, Labelbox or Supervisely.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML workflows is a plus.
• Familiarity with Python to automate repetitive tasks is a plus.
