Data Architect

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for an experienced Data Architect to shape its enterprise data ecosystem. The role will lead the design of scalable data platforms on Azure, support cloud transformation, and enable advanced analytics, AI and BI across the airline.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise‑wide data solutions aligned with business strategy and architecture standards.
• Lead the architecture of modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses and analytics solutions using Azure services.
• Define and promote reusable patterns, governance frameworks and best practices across the Data Agile Release Train.
• Partner with business, product, engineering and enterprise architecture teams to deliver secure, future‑ready solutions.
• Drive data governance capabilities such as data quality, lineage, metadata, reference data and lifecycle management.
• Provide architectural leadership for both Agile and Waterfall delivery initiatives.
• Mentor and lead a team of data architects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data or solution architecture within complex environments.
• Proven delivery of data warehouse, big data, BI, analytics and data‑science solutions.
• Experience in the airline, aviation or transportation industry is a plus.
• Relevant architecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe, ArchiMate, Open CA, etc.).
