Data Governance Lead

About the role

Lead the firm’s data governance and data quality framework, ensuring data is trusted, secure, and fit for business, regulatory, and AI‑driven use cases. Work closely with business leaders to embed data ownership and drive continuous improvement across the enterprise data landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Govern, classify, steward and manage enterprise data assets, developing and maintaining data catalogues, metadata, lineage and business data definitions.
• Establish and oversee data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, issue management processes and remediation activities.
• Partner with Technology, Compliance and Information Security teams to ensure effective data protection, access governance and regulatory compliance.
• Drive adoption of automation and AI‑enabled solutions to enhance governance processes and scale data management capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance/quality, preferably within financial services.
• Proven success implementing enterprise‑wide data governance and quality frameworks.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation or Atlan.
• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, metadata management, data lineage and access controls.
• Knowledge of data governance considerations related to AI and automation.
