Data Product Lead

About the role

LI.FI is looking for a Data Product Lead to own the direction and output of its Data team. It is a partly hands-on role focused on analytics and product thinking, reporting to the CTO and line managing the Data team alongside a Data Tech Lead. The role is fully remote within the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Data team's priorities, intake and triage, and run planning, reviews and workshops
• Run hands-on analytics: deep dives, dashboards, business cases and recommendations, including data inputs for the weekly report and Monthly Business Review
• Partner with Product Managers to embed tracking and success metrics into PRDs and align the data roadmap with product roadmaps
• Turn stakeholder questions into clear specs, metric definitions and acceptance criteria
• Act as quality gate for analyses, dashboards and datasets before they reach stakeholders
• Coach the Data team on problem framing, communication and stakeholder management
• Co-own the roadmap with the Data Tech Lead so infrastructure work serves real business needs

Required profile

• 6+ years in data analytics, analytics engineering or data product work, with experience leading people or setting priorities for a small team
• Expert SQL, able to pull, validate and challenge data independently
• Experience building dashboards and reports in BI tools such as Omni, Superset or similar
• Strong business and product mindset, using data to find revenue, pricing or growth opportunities
• Technical depth to partner with data engineers, covering warehouse design, pipelines and data models
• Stakeholder management across product, engineering, finance, BD and C-suite
• Crypto/DeFi domain experience is ideal

Required skills

• Nice to have: Python, dbt and dimensional modelling, semantic layer design, ML modelling, on-chain data tools such as Dune Analytics, streaming data such as Kafka
• AI-readiness: structuring data, metrics and documentation for LLMs and agents
