Data Scientist (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates, a world leader in air cargo, is seeking a Data Scientist to drive analytics projects across its portfolio. You will apply mathematical modelling, machine learning and big‑data techniques to solve complex business problems and deliver actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver analytics projects using statistical and machine learning methods, presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Analyse business metrics and KPIs to identify trends, issues and optimisation opportunities.
• Develop data visualisations, tools, models and documentation for production use.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed high‑value insights into business processes.

Required profile

• MSc in Data Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, AI, Statistics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information systems and delivering advanced analytical projects in large, complex organisations.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a multi‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with big‑data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
• Proficiency in deep‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras).
• Strong programming skills in SQL, R and Python.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD, Docker) and building reusable libraries.
