Demand Planner – Food (Fresh, Non-Food & Ambient)

About the role

Grandiose, a fast‑growing premium grocery retailer in the UAE, is seeking a Demand Planner to own forecasting and inventory planning for its food categories across stores and e‑commerce channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop SKU‑store level demand forecasts for ambient, fresh, chilled and frozen food, using historical sales, seasonality, promotions and event data.
• Maintain rolling weekly and monthly forecasts and continuously improve forecast accuracy (FA%).
• Coordinate with commercial teams to forecast uplift for promotions and seasonal spikes, ensuring stock availability during key events.
• Translate demand plans into replenishment requirements and work with the replenishment team to allocate stock to distribution centres and stores.
• Monitor days of inventory, safety stock and near‑expiry stock to minimise waste and enforce FEFO principles.
• Align demand plans with supplier lead times, MOQ constraints and support procurement in order planning.
• Support multi‑channel demand planning for retail stores, dark stores and online platforms.
• Generate insights and dashboards on sales trends, out‑of‑stock drivers and forecast vs. actual performance using Excel, Power BI and SAP.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain within FMCG, supermarket or food retail.
• Experience handling high SKU complexity and perishable inventory.
• Strong understanding of food retail dynamics and inventory management.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Power BI for dashboard creation and insights.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
