Demand Planner

About the role

The Demand Planner will develop, maintain and continuously improve demand forecasts for the consumer appliances portfolio across the Middle East, ensuring alignment with sales, marketing, supply chain and finance to support optimal inventory levels and product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual demand forecasts at SKU, channel and country level using historical sales, market trends, promotions and product lifecycle data.
• Lead the demand planning portion of the S&OP cycle, collaborating with sales, product marketing, finance and supply planning to align assumptions and present insights.
• Support inventory optimisation by providing demand scenarios, monitoring slow‑moving stock and recommending actions.
• Manage forecasting for new product launches, phase‑ins and phase‑outs, analysing cannibalisation and substitution effects.
• Prepare regular demand planning dashboards, performance reports and sell‑in vs sell‑out analyses for senior management.
• Partner with sales, marketing and product management to incorporate pipeline, promotions and customer insights into forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting or supply chain, preferably in consumer electronics, appliances or FMCG, with exposure to the Middle East market.
• Strong understanding of S&OP processes and experience working with multi‑country distributor networks.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and modelling.
• Experience with ERP and planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, APO or IBP.
