Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry) will prepare special meals, manage pastry production, and ensure quality and presentation standards at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort. This role supports the kitchen team and collaborates with food & beverage staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; pull items from freezer storage to thaw safely.
• Maintain food logs, monitor quality and quantity, and ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of related pastry experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Pastry preparation and cold‑food handling.
• Oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperature regulation.
• Food safety, hygiene, and quality control practices.
