Design Director - Transportation

About the role

The Design Director – Transportation will lead Egis’s WW+P design activities across the Middle East, acting as the primary liaison between regional clients, partners and the global studio. This senior role combines strategic brand stewardship with hands‑on design leadership to deliver user‑centric, award‑winning transportation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Represent WW+P in the region, leveraging deep knowledge of the project portfolio, values and approach.
• Collaborate with the WW+P global studio and the Middle East Managing Director to align regional work with global standards.
• Work with the 10N Collective and all Egis Business Lines (Transportation, Energy & Sustainable Cities, Aviation) to maximise synergies and support growth.
• Support and manage design teams in global studios, serving as the local first point of contact for clients and partners.
• Build and nurture key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the firm’s footprint.
• Champion a user‑centric design philosophy, ensuring projects resonate with end‑users’ needs.
• Safeguard and evolve the WW+P brand identity, ensuring all outputs align with brand values.
• Drive project profitability while maintaining high design quality.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering award‑winning design across diverse project typologies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present design concepts to varied stakeholders.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Middle East construction market and local regulations.
