DevOps Engineer

About the role

ITP Media Group, one of the largest media companies in the Middle East with more than 80 brands, is looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer in Dubai. The role manages and maintains cloud infrastructure, hosting environments, firewalls and server operations, keeping digital platforms and internal systems secure, stable, performant and available.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and optimise cloud infrastructure and hosting environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, backups and disaster recovery
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot servers, applying OS updates, security patches and configuration management
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network access controls and security policies, and run regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools, and implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Support infrastructure-as-code practices with tools such as Terraform or Ansible, and work with developers on deployment improvements
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting, ensure regular backups and test restoration, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures
• Provide infrastructure support for websites, digital publishing platforms, CMS and other critical applications, and plan hosting capacity and upgrades

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on experience managing cloud hosting environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to infrastructure incidents
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required skills

• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools
• Preferred: cloud certifications, experience with high-traffic sites, cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management and incident response
• Preferred: containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
