Director, Business Banking – Trade Working Capital

About the role

The Director of Business Banking – Trade Working Capital will lead the bank’s efforts to serve SME and mid‑market companies in the UAE, expanding the portfolio of corporate and commercial financing solutions. The role focuses on driving sales, deepening client relationships, and ensuring robust risk management across the trade working‑capital segment.

Key responsibilities

• Increase depth and breadth of relationships with existing customers and acquire new high‑end market clients.
• Grow sales volumes, market share, and utilization of approved credit limits.
• Oversee the preparation, analysis, and approval of credit applications in line with bank policies.
• Ensure timely response to customer requests and efficient processing of business applications.
• Align product structure and pricing with client needs while maintaining competitive advantage.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and forward leads to other bank divisions.
• Monitor portfolio risk, detect early warning signals, and manage collections of past‑due loans.
• Conduct client visits in coordination with GTx and FX teams to strengthen relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate/commercial financing and trade working‑capital products.
• Strong ability to assess client needs, capture opportunities, and drive best‑practice lending.
• Demonstrated leadership in risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and participation in training programs.
