Director, Corporate Banking - Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Director of Corporate Banking manages client relationships for an assigned portfolio in the corporate banking segment, ensuring revenue targets are met while keeping client satisfaction and portfolio credit quality high. The role requires close internal and external collaboration, including meetings with local and international clients across time zones and tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in financial analysis of clients and their industries or markets to spot opportunities and risks.
• Originate new business across banking products, prepare term sheets, information memoranda and mandate letters, and examine credit, market and operational risks with products and enablement units.
• Pitch, review, negotiate and conclude deals, maintain acceptable credit quality, and achieve individual and team financial targets.
• Develop cross-selling opportunities, prepare account plans for key clients, keep client files and documents up to date, and submit credit reviews on time.
• Attend training programs, follow bank policies and procedures, and meet process KPIs, ORM, BCP and internal audit requirements.
• Maximise portfolio returns through NTB bookings, relationship growth and cross-selling.
• Support the Executive Director / Line Manager with client calls and unit activities, follow up KYC and AML compliance, and help prepare statements and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's in business administration or finance is preferred.
• Knowledge of the banking sector and the bank's products and business strategies.
• 8-10 years of experience in corporate banking coverage.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and analyse and research information.
