Director of Commercial (Head of Sales & Partnerships)

About the role

AI71 is expanding its commercial operations across the UAE and other strategic markets. As the Director of Commercial you will lead the end‑to‑end commercial engine for the Ask platform, shaping sales, go‑to‑market strategy, partnerships and customer success in regulated and sovereign sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial strategy for Ask in regulated‑enterprise and sovereign segments across anchor and expansion markets.
• Translate AI capabilities into market‑ready offers, pricing models and go‑to‑market plays for government and large‑enterprise buyers.
• Partner with product teams to select lighthouse accounts, manage client sequencing and feed market insights back into the product roadmap.
• Own the full sales pipeline—from sourcing and qualification to negotiation and close—while delivering accurate forecasts.
• Lead negotiations of complex, high‑value contracts including license agreements, SLAs, AUPs and DPAs.
• Build and scale a commercial organization, establishing operating models, pipeline discipline and incentive structures.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience in regulated, enterprise or sovereign markets.
• Strong track record of building and scaling commercial teams and processes.
• Ability to navigate high‑stakes procurement environments such as ministries, banks and government risk committees.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on winning the right clients in the right sequence.
