Director of Finance, Internal Control

About the role

Union Properties PJSC, a leading real estate developer in Dubai, is seeking a strategic Director of Finance, Internal Control. You will design, implement and oversee a robust internal control system across the group and its subsidiaries, safeguarding assets and ensuring high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive internal control framework aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk assessment activities to identify, analyse and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local laws and company policies.
• Design and execute control testing programmes, document findings and recommend improvements.
• Standardise financial processes and controls across all business units and subsidiaries.
• Provide guidance and training to finance teams on internal control policies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CIA) is essential.
• 10‑15 years of progressive experience in audit, finance or internal control, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk management and corporate governance.
• Experience in real‑estate development or property management is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex teams across multiple subsidiaries.
