Director of Security Affairs

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Director of Security Affairs to lead both physical security and cybersecurity functions across the organisation, ensuring protection of people, assets, and digital infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures for facilities, personnel and digital assets.
• Oversee physical security operations including access control, visitor management, CCTV, intrusion detection and alarm systems.
• Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability reviews and manage corrective actions.
• Manage security service providers, contracts and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate incident response for physical and cyber events, working with internal stakeholders and external authorities.
• Develop cybersecurity policies, conduct risk assessments, threat analysis and oversee remediation initiatives.
• Implement and monitor security controls such as firewalls, endpoint protection, encryption and identity‑and‑access management.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on security risks, incidents and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Cybersecurity, IT, Risk Management or related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with leadership responsibility in security operations or risk management.
• Proven experience overseeing both physical security and cybersecurity functions.
• Experience in government, defence or critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
• Strong vendor and contract management, stakeholder coordination and senior‑level reporting skills.
