About the role

The Director of the Student Success Center provides strategic and operational leadership for programs that enhance student well‑being, academic progression, retention and timely graduation. Reporting to senior university leadership, the role shapes an integrated support framework that spans academic advising, career guidance and early‑intervention services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all operations of the Student Success Center, ensuring alignment with the University of Kalba strategic plan.
• Develop and implement initiatives that improve student retention, academic progression and graduation rates.
• Establish an early‑alert system to identify at‑risk students and create tailored support plans.
• Oversee academic advising, career services and student engagement programs.
• Collaborate with colleges, faculty and university units to design responsive support solutions.
• Utilize student and academic data to monitor performance, generate reports and assess program effectiveness.
• Set and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for student success services.
• Supervise center staff, manage the operating budget and ensure resource efficiency.
• Develop policies, procedures and external partnerships while maintaining confidentiality of student information.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in student services, academic advising or related higher‑education functions.
• Strong track record of designing and executing student success initiatives.
• Excellent analytical abilities to interpret data and drive evidence‑based decisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse academic and administrative stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets and leading multidisciplinary teams.
