Director - Programme, Fujairah New Port

About the role

The Director - Programme - Fujairah New Port is responsible for end-to-end delivery of the Ports Cluster maritime portfolio within the assigned programme. Reporting to senior leadership in the HC&E - Ports Cluster, the role drives strategic planning, resource allocation and stakeholder coordination to expand Fujairah Terminals and related infrastructure while maintaining safety, quality and budgetary discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall programme delivery and monitor maritime progress so that key milestones are met across all projects.
• Lead the Fujairah Terminals expansion, including marine works, quay and yard infrastructure and terminal facilities, keeping operations safe and uninterrupted.
• Evaluate project risks, resolve issues with relevant parties and develop mitigation plans.
• Advise project owners and department managers on maritime programmes, specifications, standards and procedures.
• Manage maritime data and enforce statistical, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Manage dependencies and interfaces between maritime projects, including with ongoing terminal operations at Fujairah.
• Provide HSE leadership for all construction activities and promote a positive HSE culture.
• Supervise engineering teams, allocate work and plan internal and external resource needs, and coach and mentor team members.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and build relationships with senior management, suppliers, consultants and contractors.
• Support departmental budgets, business strategies and HR projects in line with the Ports Cluster and ETS strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience delivering construction projects, as a senior project manager or in a programme management position.
• Multi-disciplinary engineering environment, with extensive maritime development experience, preferably in port and terminal expansion.
• Experience in both contracting and PMC organisations.
• Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage.
