Dispatcher

About the role

The Dispatcher will coordinate the movement of industrial materials by truck and ship, ensuring that operational requirements are met efficiently and safely. This role supports the logistics chain by maintaining accurate records and communicating with drivers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and dispatch industrial materials via trucks and ships according to operational needs.
• Monitor daily dispatch activities and ensure timely delivery or completion of tasks.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, logs and reports using SAP and other computer systems.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Track vehicle movements and respond promptly to delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and operational procedures.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and stakeholders regarding schedules and changes.
• Prepare daily and weekly dispatch reports as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation or operations is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP (SD/MM/PM modules) – advantageous.
• General MS Office competency.
