Document Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Document Controller to join Technip Energies in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for managing all project documentation in line with company, client and regulatory requirements across multi‑discipline EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and control incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring correct coding, versioning and filing in the Document Management System.
• Administer DMS platforms such as Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint or SmartPlant – uploading, registering, tracking and archiving documents.
• Manage vendor drawings, datasheets, procedures and technical reports for all engineering disciplines.
• Prepare transmittals, distribute documents to internal teams, contractors and clients, and track acknowledgements.
• Ensure proper revision control, document history and prevent use of obsolete documents.
• Support audit readiness by providing complete and traceable documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC and subcontractors to resolve document issues.
• Generate logs, status and overdue reports and maintain final project close‑out dossiers.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering documentation workflows and multi‑discipline deliverables.
• Hands‑on experience with DMS platforms such as Aconex, EDMS, SmartPlant or SharePoint.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high‑volume documentation.
