Donor Engagement Advisor – Gulf Partnerships

About the role

The Donor Engagement Advisor will help expand People un Need’s programmes by building and strengthening relationships with Gulf‑based donors, foundations and partners. Based in the Middle East, the role involves strategic outreach, programme alignment and travel across the Gulf, Africa and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, track and develop funding opportunities with priority Gulf donors.
• Design and implement engagement plans that align donor priorities with PIN’s humanitarian and development programmes.
• Represent PIN at forums, bilateral meetings and donor events.
• Translate programme realities into compelling concept proposals and strategic pitches.
• Collaborate with regional, country and HQ teams to ensure coordinated donor engagement.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of experience in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven track record in donor engagement and business development.
• Experience working with Gulf donors or non‑traditional funding streams is an asset.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
