Dredging Superintendent

About the role

The Dredging Superintendent will lead day‑to‑day dredging operations for a major marine project in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Dredging Works Manager, you will ensure that all activities follow the approved project plan, meet safety standards, and stay within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily dredging activities, delegating tasks to supervisors and senior dredge masters.
• Provide input for detailed project planning and produce weekly progress, budget, and issue reports.
• Identify risks, propose mitigations, and escalate critical issues to the Works Manager.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, ensure compliance with HSE regulations, and conduct inspections.
• Plan staffing, oversee mobilization/demobilization, and ensure all equipment is inspected and maintained.
• Prepare final operational reports covering performance, production, soil data, and cost‑influencing factors.

Required profile

• Engineering Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional qualification).
• Minimum 5 years of experience on dredging projects in a supervisory role.
• PMP certification is an asset.
• Strong understanding of dredging processes, equipment, land reclamation, pipelines, cutter types, and pick points.
• Ability to transform raw CSV data into actionable information.
