Duty Engineer – Hotel Operations

About the role

As a Duty Engineer you will ensure the hotel’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently, creating a comfortable environment for guests and staff. You will be the first point of contact for engineering service calls, delivering prompt solutions while upholding Hilton’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Respond quickly to engineering service calls, minimizing guest disruption.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Support training initiatives and foster a positive team culture.
• Assist in managing the engineering budget and cost‑effective operations.
• Test fire prevention systems regularly and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Supervise daily maintenance tasks and oversee contractor work to meet premium standards.
• Participate in recruitment, scheduling and manpower planning for the department.
