Duty Manager Airside Operations

About the role

The Duty Manager Airside Operations leads the airside team to ensure safe, secure and efficient movement of aircraft, vehicles and personnel at the airport. Reporting to senior management, the role provides 24/7 oversight of airside, terminal and landside access systems while supporting strategic planning and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, GCAA regulations and Abu Dhabi EHSMS certifications.
• Plan, implement and monitor airside operational and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Lead, coach and supervise the Airside Operations team, managing workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Coordinate emergency response, adverse weather, construction activities and other operational disruptions.
• Conduct site inspections for new projects and provide guidance on airside safety and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor operational logs, analyse performance and prepare management reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and service providers to resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of airside operations experience in a similar or larger airport environment.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Proven experience leading operational teams and managing budgets.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICAO Annex 14 and related international airside regulations.
• Familiarity with GCAA regulatory requirements and Abu Dhabi EHSMS.
• Understanding of airport safety management systems and compliance standards.
• Digital literacy and awareness of relevant airport operational technologies.
