Duty Manager (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Duty Manager will be the front‑line leader ensuring smooth operations of the front‑desk and guest services areas. This role requires fluent Arabic to assist guests and staff, and it is based on‑site at the Sheraton hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff with expediting problem payments and follow up on guest satisfaction issues.
• Process all guest check‑ins, confirm reservations, assign rooms, issue and activate room keys.
• Handle all payment types (cash, credit, debit, checks) and set up accurate guest accounts.
• Anticipate sold‑out situations, arrange alternative accommodations, and block rooms according to guest requirements.
• Coordinate with Bellperson, Housekeeping and other departments to resolve guest requests and ensure room readiness.
• Review shift logs, count cash at shift start/end, balance receipts and drop them per accounting guidelines.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching employees.
• Report accidents, maintain safety standards, and uphold company policies and confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in hotel front‑desk or guest services.
• Fluent Arabic (spoken and written) and professional English communication.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift objects up to 10 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
